Hi, I am Kade Ludlam, and I own and operate Timeless Sewing Machine Service. From a young age, I was interested in how things work and enjoyed fixing things. My mother always had a sewing project going throughout my childhood and taught me how to sew. I was drawn to the workings of the machine but didn’t get a chance to fix one until later. I spent my teen years learning small engine mechanics, and while I did enjoy that, it just wasn’t quite the right fit for me. Eventually, my plans circled around to sewing machines and I traveled to Texas for my training and certification. I also have had the opportunity to apprentice with a technician who has been servicing sewing machines for over 45 years, and I continue to learn new ways to service machines better from him. During my training, I loved working on all the different machines and knew this was what I wanted to do.
I have been certified to work on all makes and models of sewing machines, sergers, and more. I have taken a special interest in some of the older and even antique machines. I always wonder what type of history this machine has, and how many people have loved it and used it. It is fun to see how the sewing machine has changed over the years, and yet how there have always been so many useful and enjoyable ways to use it.
I find great satisfaction in making a sewing machine work to the best of its ability and making it look as close to it did when it came out of the box as possible, both inside and out. It is enjoyable to know that I am enabling others to do what they love by doing what I love.
I grew up in Estes Park, and even though I moved away last year to the High Plains, I know how frustrating it can be to have to drive to the valley for everything, because of this I have made it a priority to ensure that it is easy for you to drop your machine off in town. I have also been working to set up other Drop-Off Locations in Nothern Colorado to make it as convenient as possible for you to drop off your machine to be serviced.
